AISF helps people and businesses think through safety in products that use generative AI

Keeping up with safety in generative AI isn’t easy. New products land all the time, and it’s rarely obvious what’s safe or where the risks sit. The Artificial Intelligence Safety Forum (AISF) is a nonprofit forum working on exactly that. We advise organisations, lead our own research, and produce practical guidance, giving people, families, and businesses a place to work through questions of safety.

What We Do

Advisory

We work with developers and organisations on safety in products that use generative AI. If a team wants to strengthen safeguards or build trust in what they’re making, we can work with them directly. Sometimes that’s a single conversation. Sometimes it’s a longer collaboration on a specific project. Either way the aim is the same: helping people build safer, more responsible products, and giving them a place to talk things through when questions about safety come up.

Research

We run our own research on safety in generative AI, and we partner with organisations on theirs. It comes out as independent, evidence-based reports that look at where harms show up, how products handle privacy and security, and what safer practice actually looks like. The point is to add something useful, not just to restate the problem.

Guidance

We produce practical guides and support materials for people trying to make safer choices about generative AI. That covers plain advice on assessing a product’s safety, understanding privacy risks, and judging how reliable a tool really is. The aim is to make this easier to navigate, whoever you are.
